Tasting Notes

Chandon Brut Classic
Classic balance typifies this refreshingly soft, yet dry sparkling wine. The wine delivers complex apple and pear characteristics accented by citrus spice over notes of almond and caramel in the bouquet. When you taste Brut Classic, look for nutty flavors with hints of fresh baked brioche that build to a refreshingly dry finish. Included on our Sunset & Moet trip. Available on other Echo trips for $25.

Imperial (Formerly White Star)
Noted for its soft and delicate taste, White Star (recently re-named Imperial) is made with a small amount of added sugar, resulting in a smoother, rounder champagne, but still dry, with a character all its own. It is balanced and harmonious, with mellow, well-developed flavors. Golden in color with shades of amber, its delicate aroma is reminiscent of flowers, hazelnuts and biscuits. On the palate it is soft, with a fruity finish evocative of peaches. Particularly suitable as an aperitif wine, Imperial can be served with cheese-based entrees as well as with oysters or fish. Included on our Sunset & Moet trip. Available on other Echo trips for $49.

Brut Imperial Rose
Brut Imperial Rose is a harmonious blend of all three grape varieties and reserve wines, which produce a subtle, drier-styled champagne. The intensity and vibrant color, best described as Rose with shades of copper, results from the addition of Pinot Noir wines from two particular French villages during the assemblage. A lively, clear, expressive aroma dominated by scents of spicy wild berries. With notes of strawberries, hints of red currant and nectarine, Brut Imperial Rose accompanies main dishes of crayfish, white meat, lamb, as well as desserts such as wild fruit salad or sorbet. Included on our Sunset & Moet trip. Available on other Echo trips for $69.
